The Wasaru Stones series
Guided by four unlikely mentors—a gruff ranger, a wise Grandmother, a dragon, and an invisible black panther with a mischievous streak—Someisa must awaken powers she never knew she possessed. With the steadfast friendship of a tiny wood sprite named Thistle, she learns that true leadership is born not from force, but from compassion, courage, and forgiveness.
Rooted in the timeless wisdom of Native traditions, Zen teachings, and common sense, The Wasaru Stones series are cozy fantasies about inner strength, peaceful power, and the magic of the mind and heart.
Perfect for readers who love gentle adventures, quiet magic, and stories where kindness is the greatest force of all.

The Accords for her planet forbid the use of violence against sentient peoples. Only the invaders don’t know that. Where do these strange folk come from and what do they want with her people? It becomes her job to find the answers to these questions and decide what to do about them. Along the way, she learns her mind has powers she didn’t know were possible. I am a sixth generation Oregonian. I planned to study nuclear physics when I enrolled at Oregon State University, because I was looking for God. After two years of struggling through college level physics and chemistry and nearly failing calculus, I decided this was not the right path for me.
A class in metaphysics caught my interest, and I began a lifelong journey to seek out the answers to such questions as, why are we here? what is my purpose? and is there really a God? Many years passed before I got answers to my satisfaction. Some of those answers find their way into my books.
My seventh grade teacher read “Between Planets” by Robert Heinlein to our class after lunch. I have been hooked on sci-fi and fantasy ever since. However, I have gotten tired of all the violence found in most sci-fi and fantasy books today. So, I thought I would try my hand at a cozy fantasy and have gotten hooked on my own stories.
